Our Organization
Open Democracy Manitoba (ODM) is a community organization that builds online election resources with the goal of fostering government accountability, transparency and public education. We built WinnipegElection.ca for the 2010 and 2014 Winnipeg civic elections, as well as ManitobaElection.ca for the 2011 provincial Manitoba election.
Our Election Portal Toolkit
The toolkit we use to build "election portals" like WinnipegElection.ca is now available for free as a Wordpress plugin.
We hope to encourage citizen groups across Canada to use this plugin to build election education portals for their local municipal and provincial elections. Email us for help getting started.

Funding Recognition
The development of this toolkit was funded in part by a Community Investment grant from the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA). CIRA manages the .CA top-level domain, Canada’s online identifier, on behalf of all Canadians. A Member-driven organization, CIRA also facilitates the development of a better Internet for all Canadians, and represents the .CA registry internationally.
